Director - Mrs. Samandra Nail

Assistant Director - Ms. Barbara Vega

WE ARE SO THANKFUL FOR mRS. nAIL AND mS. vEGA AND THEIR CONTINUED COMMITMENT TO THE SILVER STARS!!

Barbara Vega is in her 2nd year as the  dance educator and assistant director of the Silver Stars!

She is from Katy, TX and graduated from Seven Lakes HS. After high school Barbara attended Kilgore College to be a Kilgore College Rangerette, where she also had the opportunity to be a Swingster (Elite dance group member) and a part of Industry (a pre-professional modern dance company). She finished her Bachelors in Communication and New Media Art minor at Texas A&M. I was still very involved in dance after Rangerettes.

Prior to coming to TMHS,  Barbara has worked as a Crowd Pleasers Dance Staffer for 4 years and was a member of Dance Arts Society at Texas A&M.

Mrs. Nail was a member of the famed Kilgore Rangerettes while attending Kilgore College. After Kilgore, she then went on to earn a Bachelor of Science degree in Business and a Masters Degree in Education from Sam Houston State University.

Professionally, Samandra has worked as a dance instructor for the Magnolia and Conroe ISDs. She has also been a Rockette for the internationally famous Radio City Rockettes.

"I cannot imagine my life being any different. I have always loved passing on my knowledge and passion for dance to others. Dancing teaches not only skill and technique, but also the dedication and drive that it takes to reach goals.
My mission for The Silver Stars Dance Team and Dance Department at Tomball Memorial High School is for every member to reach their highest potential as a dancer, teammate and as a student. My hope is that each student will learn discipline, how to work as a team, and develop a work-ethic that they can carry with them throughout their lifetime."
